Currently, two PINs are required for a successful BHIM transaction. One is the PIN of the application, which is stored locally on the phone and is required whenever a person starts BHIM. The other is the UPI PIN code with which you have configured an UPI account or a VPA and is only required when a transaction is in progress or you ask to see the balance of your account on the BHIM application. Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the implementation of BHIM digital payments from the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) on December 30 of last year. The application of digital payments exceeded the chart of free apps from Google Play Store in just three days. In one month, it has been downloaded over 5 million times on Android.
The Aadhaar Pay option was planned since the launch of the application. BHIM is different from mobile wallets such as Paytm and MobiKwik as it also allows to send money to people who do not have the application. UPI integration via USSD payments can work on feature and offline phones as well.
